What we make

Give an idea a physical presence.

A place you return to. A flower you keep noticing. A form that feels right in a particular room.

We turn these starting points into reliefs and sculptural art objects, from a single panel to a larger composition.

You commission the subject, scale and character together with us. We consider how the work sits on the wall, how far it projects into the room, and what the changing light will reveal. The result is a piece with its own presence—and a personal reason to be there.

The artist & the studio

A sculptor’s practice.
A personal commission.

A work made for you begins with a conversation with its maker.

Contemporary Relief is a Florida-based sculpture studio. We bring reliefs and art objects into everyday life: in private homes, spaces designed with architects, and personal collections.

You work directly with us from the first idea to the finished piece. This selection brings together recent commissions and earlier studio work, with the same attention to scale, surface and the space around it.

Discuss your commission

An international practice

30+countries in
our portfolio.

Reliefs and sculptural commissions for homes, interiors and places around the world.

The process

From your first idea to a finished sculpture.

01

Your space

We start with a conversation about the room: its dimensions, light, and how you move through it. Share photographs, a plan, or simply the idea you keep coming back to.

02

Agree the commission

We agree the scope, budget and payment terms. Concept work begins after the initial payment, so you know what you are commissioning before design starts.

03

Develop the concept

We explore the composition and show how it will sit in your space. Scale, depth, materials and finish are developed with you before production begins.

04

Make the sculpture

This is where the work takes shape. In the studio, we build volume, refine the surface and work with light and shadow until the composition becomes a finished sculpture.

05 · The journey home

Packing, shipping
& installation

If this is your first sculpture, welcome to collecting. Part of our job is getting it safely from our hands to your home.

Gypsum works can be heavy and fragile. We plan protective packing around each piece and choose the delivery and installation method for its size and destination. Sometimes we bring the work ourselves. We are rather protective of our sculptures.
